The Intervention

Here are a few things I have figured out. You might already know them.

1. The world appears as we are. If we are bitter, we will see things which re-affirm our bitterness. If we are angry, we will notice things which anger us. If we are untrusting, we will find deceit wherever we look.

2. Life is beautiful. Even when we’ve been burned and dirtied and torn. It still is. It always is.

3. Sometimes you just need a darn break in able to change point 1. and notice point 2.

Anne Lamott (who is a my new favourite person by the way) says that sometimes heaven is just a different pair of glasses, and it is with this in mind that I shall begin revealing the exciting news I mentioned in my last post.

Are you ready?

(I’m just a teeeeensy bit excited).

We are going on our FIRST EVER In-Tents-ive Retreat!

See what I did there?

Sorry, I’m tired. It’s all I could come up with.

We’re getting some new glasses, sweet friends!

I don’t know about you, but my vision is foggy, my head is bound and my crazy is getting a little too obvious.

I’ve had no other choice but to call an intervention.

And it involves you.

On Monday the 3rd of September, we are going far, far away. We are embarking on a week-long retreat and every morning at 7:30 am for 5 consecutive days, you will be transported into a wondrous and spectacular new world where nothing exists but you and your complete, uninhibited freedom. While I have to keep the activities of your retreat secret for the time being, I must say that they are totally worth getting excited about. When a new blog is posted, this magical world is all yours to enjoy and it’s beautiful, friends, trust me. I’ve already taken a sneak peek.

On second thoughts, the time of departure might have to occur somewhere between 7:00 and 7:30.  Roughly. Ella hasn’t learned to abide by mummy’s schedule yet. She’s way too bossy with her demands, that one.

So, what do you think?

Thrilled? Relieved? Eager?

Me too.

Women give far too much of themselves away, especially when they are mothers, and to end up at the very bottom of the to-do list just won’t do anymore. I won’t have it.

This retreat is OURS, lovelies.

IT’S ALL OURS.

Please…. invite your friends, your neighbours, your family, your enemies. They could probably do with it the most really, those enemies. The fresh air will do them good. Invite them to click here and they’ll have their ticket in.

It’s going to be incredible.

Love,

Rachel.

Owwww – sounds exciting! What do we need to pack????
By the way – here’s a quote that I have up on my vision board (which ties in nicely with today’s blog … “Look closely at the present you are constructing; it should look like the future you are dreaming” – Alice Walker
We really do create our own reality. Sometimes, it is easy to be drawn down into the negative – but like you say, when we start noticing all the wonderful things around us and show appreciation for them – it’s funny how more positive things become apparent to us. Life really is beautiful. xx

You only need your pair of eyes and a tiny bit of imagination. So leave your suitcase at home, I will be providing everything!! x love the quote by the way.
