Happy Friday
According to Ella, my tummy looks like there’s a baby in it and also, can you have another baby, mummy?
Um, no, not today, honey.
Three cheers for Friday.

Our Spring Party starts today. On a side note – put the word party after everything and life gets really fun.
Kids get in the car! = Kids! We’re having a car party!
Kids, bath! = Kids! We’re having a bath party – come quick!
Joel, your turn to wash up! = Joel, we’re having a washing up party, guests invited = you!
Meet me on Instagram and upload a photo a day for 12 days, or you know – whenever you remember – of happy spring things. Tag your photos with #12daysofspringforeplay.
Day One: Dear spring, I see you and I raise you a braid.
Ella: What’s in your hair, mummy? And what’s that on your face? Why are your lips like that?
Me: I braided my hair, and I put some make-up on! Do you like it?
Ella: No, mummy. I don’t like it.
Nothing like kids to pop your glam bubble.
And a random page book-open quote to take us out:
We are but birds of passage and must build our nests out of what materials we can find. Lady Wilson.
Have a great weekend!

Love the braids! Beautiful photos! I will have to follow you on Instagram! =] Love the party idea. Sounds like it would get me into a mental-state of happiness and excitement as well. Might be a good trick to keep the whole family pumped and happy even during mundane transitions and tasks! Good tip! Great post!
the ‘party’ word works a treat 🙂 And thanks, I love the braids too. My daughter clearly has no sense of style!
