Easter of Three and Five

I’m not gonna lie: The first day back at school this morning was like shocking myself on an electric fence. The morning rush, the uniforms, the rules and schedules, the handing of our girl over once more to an education system I’m still struggling to wrap my head around; I woke up already resistant, contemplating for the millionth time if we were making the right choices.
ANYWAY: easter. We’re talking easter memories today, preserving away the year they were three and five, giddy with euphoria, contemplating serious decisions like does the easter bunny drink water out of a bowl or use his hands and drink from a cup? Because these things need to be known when preparing for him, obviously.
We settled on grass, carrots, dyed eggs, a bowl of water and some little bunny toys to keep him company as he delivered his chocolate eggs.
And then easter morning, we sat back and watched the magic unfold, so grateful, as always, for these little children who make life so wonderful.
Happy Tuesday, friends. Hoping you all had a wonderful easter break, too.
To childhood and family and home and love: the very best things of all.
